2nd Pokhara University football Cup 2013

PU cup is going to be held at Police Academy,Maharajgunj from 8th march with 16 colleges affiliated to Pokhara University.


 It is 2nd PU Inter college football cup while Ace organized the 1st tournament back in 2010 with 8 teams. Apex College won the 1st tournament and hosting current with the title sponsorship of Suzuki. It is said that Venue was fixed regarding the security issues. Host are inviting more than 100 VIP's at the venue. The event has got recognition from ANFA as well as Pokhara University. According to organizer its the biggest inter college football competition till the date.

BBA-BI

Over the last two decades, the banking, finance and insurance industries have witnessed many transformations in terms of its scope and scale due to deregulations, enhanced technology and increasing globalization. As a result, the financial industry has become increasingly technical, specialized, global and competitive. Banking and insurance organizations today demand professionals who could exhibit specific knowledge, skills, and experience required in the banking and insurance business.
To meet the growing demand for banking and insurance professionals worldwide, we offer Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Insurance (BBA-BI) program affiliated to Pokhara University. Introduced in 2004, it is four- year, 126 credit- hour program that prepares you to perform in the growing industry of banking, finance and insurance.

Program

The BBA-BI program is ideal for those who are planning a career in banking and insurance industry. This program develops your understanding of institutions, instruments and markets of financial services, with special focus in banking and insurance. Facilitated by academicians and professionals who guide you through a number of project works, this program equips you with necessary knowledge, skills, and technological tools. It also cultivates in you a positive attitude for a career in areas such as banking, insurance, wealth management and other financial services


Curriculum

BBA- BI is a four, 126 credit- hour program of Pokhara University. It prepares you especially for the careers in banking, finance and insurance. Recognizing the breadth and depth of an academic program, it comprises of the core and elective components.
The BBA-BI curriculum provides you a sound understanding of contemporary management and develops your communication, interpersonal, leadership and IT skills required to succeed in today’s competitive global environment. It also significantly develops your analytical skills required in banking and insurance industry through various practical assignments and project works.
It gradually takes you to concentrate on the areas of banking and insurance. Designed to provide concepts and practices of modern banking and insurance, it also deals with the environmental forces that affect banking and insurance business in Nepal.
Along with the course work, the BBA- BI curriculum requires you to complete one internship and one summer project to graduate from the program.

Concentration

BBA-BI program is specifically designed for careers in banking, finance and insurance, it does not offer additional or separate courses for concentration.

Evaluation & Grading

Your performance will be evaluated and graded as per the evaluation and grading system of Pokhara University. Your performance in a course is evaluated internally by the concerned faculty member and externally by the Office of the Controller of Examinations (COE). The pass mark in each course will be a minimum Grade of B or GPA of 3.0 (60 percent). However, students must secure a minimum CGPA of 3.0 at the end of the program.
Your performance will be graded as per the following scale:

Blood Donation Program at Apex

Blood Donation Program has been successfully done at Apex College organized by Rotary club of Tripureshwor and Rotract club of Tripureshwor on February 13,2013. Organizer team also called the star of Nepali Movie Chadke including popular actor Saugat Malla and Dayahang Rai which was fresh released last week. The entire team of Chadke who appeared in the program donated blood.


Organizer told that they had a target of 100 blood donors and they were happy to get more than 130 person donating their blood at Apex College. The Blood donating program was conducted with the motto of "Lets Make An Inspirational Moves". Same Organizer has been conducting many programs in Apex College in past days.l
